I, as a concerned citizen of this country find myself watching, listening, and hearing what is happening in our country and find myself being shocked, daily, by the things I hear. Our country is on a slippery slope, and I believe that without the correct leadership and decision makers in place, as well as a return to morality in this country, we will quickly plunge into a spiral toward socialism that I feel will be very difficult for us to recover from. Current hot button issues drive me crazy! Things like as government controlled health care (i.e socialized medicine), a seemingly unending wave of government spending (i.e extra taxes on the way and lots of them) for everything from bailing out people who bought houses they couldn't afford, to trying to increase minimum wage again, or even bailing out investment firms after unscrupulous business practices for years; all at taxpayers expense of course. Whatever happened to personal responsibility? Taking responsibility for our own mistakes and making darn sure we don't make the same ones again!
In the coming months I will every few days cover a current issue and throw in my two cents. Some of the topics I plan to cover are:
- Socialized Medicine
- Windfall Profits Taxes
- Alternate Energy Sources
- The oil industry
- Illegal Immigration
- How much our current elected officials in the House and the Senate suck
- War on Terror
- The Declaration of Independence and the Framers of the United States
- The Lesser of Two Evils (aka The 2008 Presidential Election)
- Evil in the world and why people are afraid to talk about it
- Peace In The Middle East and why it is not possible
- Why the Republican Party needs to return to its conservative roots
- If they won't my move to start a new political party known as the Conservative Party
- Environmentalists
- Global Warming (what a load of garbage)
